Abstract
Decision no. 601 of November 14, 2005 proves its relevance and importance in the current Romanian political context regarding the dismissal of the President of the Senate. Retiring President of the Senate ahead of schedule, although it can in principle two forms and act as legal sanction or political sanction, currently, because of the vacuum regulation covered by this decision, can be operated only as a revocation of a political nature. Only the parliamentary group which proposed the candidate for President of the Senate may request its political revocation and nominate a new person to fill vacancy, the two procedural steps requiring the mandatory application of the majority decision principle.
