Abstract

The article aims to draw attention to a number of everyday problems in the work of forensic experts. The way the case is managed in relation to the judicial body ordering the forensic expertise, the notion of accreditation according to the international quality standard ISO/IEC 17025:2018, the participation of the expert appointed by the party and approved by the judicial body in carrying out the forensic expertise, as well as the formulation of conclusions from forensic expertise reports are the ideas that the content of the article brings to the attention of legal specialists. Clarification of the above-mentioned issues will help both judicial bodies (courts/prosecutors' offices) and citizens, which can only benefit forensic activities in civil and criminal proceedings.
