Summary
According to Article 155 of the Romanian Labor Code, among other benefits that the employer may offer, within the private sector, to his employees, we also include bonuses and supplements. The bonus represents a reward that may be given to the employee who has achieved great merits and has properly fulfilled his work duties. Despite the fact that, usually bonuses are voluntary, optional and variable, in the event when they were negotiated as such within the collective or individual labor agreement, they can also have a binding and constant character. The herein study aims at establishing which are the actions that an employee, unsatisfied with the manner in which the bonuses were assigned, may bring against the employer.
