ABSTRACT
The International Labour Organization (ILO), established in 1919 under the auspices of the Treaty of Versailles, has evolved as a unique tripartite entity that includes governments, employers, and workers from 187 member states. Over time, the ILO has been committed to promoting labor standards, developing policies, and designing programs aimed at improving working conditions and ensuring decent work. This article provides a detailed analysis of the evolution of the ILO, starting with its initial role in promoting peace through social justice, to its involvement in contemporary issues such as globalization, social justice, and decent work.
