REZUMAT

The entry into force of Law no. 62/2011 on social dialogue favoured the decline of collective bargaining between social partners at all levels of negotiation, mainly generated by the economic and financial crisis. Among the collective agreements concluded at the branch level (under Law no. 130/1996) and enforced in May 2011, 23 expired without new contracts concluded in the corresponding business sectors, and at the unit group level the number of entities with collective agreements concluded under the previous regulatory framework without concluding new such agreements, is 29.
