ABSTRACT

The legal framework for social protection of female employees who are pregnant or gave birth, according to labour legislation of our country which includes special measures on maternity protection at workplaces was amended and supplemented by a recent law that clarifies the original provisions and updates certain issues regarding maternity protection at workplaces. Even if there are significant changes in the legal framework on maternity protection at the workplace, details and clarifications introduced by this normative act are welcomed in the overall context of the social protection of female employees at the workplace.
