ABSTRACT

Antimicrobial resistance (AMR) is a global health threat affecting all countries, regardless of their wealth, prompting the World Health Organization (WHO) to identify AMR in 2019 as one of the ten global health threats. We are currently witnessing a medical crisis caused by decades of antibiotic overuse and a lack of new antibiotic types on the pharmaceutical market.
