ABSTRACT

Religious freedom is the freedom to have or not to have a religion or belief according to one's personal choice, and the freedom to manifest one's religion or belief, individually or in community with others, in public or in private, in worship, observance, practice and teaching. In this paper we will argue, with reference to a recent case concerning a father and son who were fined for offering religious literature, in a public manifestation of religious freedom, in the form of offering religious materials, cannot be considered street trading, and morover shouldn’t be unjustly or unlawfully restricted.
