Decizia Curţii Constituţionale Ungare nr. 143/2010 (VII.14.)

Abstract

The commented decision was delivered by the Constitutional Court of Hungary in solving a constitutional complaint in an a posteriori constitutional review. It concerns the constitutionality of the Lisbon Treaty and brings to the fore the issues that follow the ratification of the aforementioned treaty for the Hungarian constitutional system. This decision continues the list of the decisions delivered by other constitutional courts of the European Union member states on the same subject, namely the challenges implied by the ratification of the Lisbon Treaty in the national constitutional order. Hence, beside the fact that Hungary acknowledges a Lisbon decision, the commented decision is in the spirit and in line with the grounds for and the solution contained by the other Lisbon decisions delivered at the constitutional courts of the EU member states.
