From the French Civil Code (1804), which represented the "civil constitution" of modern society and served as a model for the codification of private law, to the AI Act (2024) which prefigures itself as the "technological constitution" of post-modern society and asserts itself as a dominant model for regulating AI, law has gone through its own history and is now facing a new founding moment.
