Summary

Ethics is meant to guide individuals and address principles such asfree choice, free will, shaping in the meantime people's personality and the behaviour. It is a reflective and reactive subject that deals with standards ofbehaviour andthinking.

Ethics deals with all life values and personality traits considered acceptable in any society. Thus, an ethical code may sustain that no person shall put their interests above the interest of society. A deontology code assumes and imposes certain strict guidelines that are to be complied with by all those involved in a certain field of activity. It goes without saying that the values and the principles set forth in such a deontology code are bound to become standards of ethics that all magistrates should refer and keep to.
