ABSTRACT

In the Romanian medical system, Law no. 95/2006 regarding the reform in the field of health, republished stipulates the obligation of the holder of the social health insurance card to present this document to the provider of medical services whenever he requests the provision of medical assistance under the conditions provided by the framework contract and the methodological norms of application of this normative act.

Legal problems arise when the beneficiary of medical services, as the holder of this card, omits to present this document, although the medical services were provided by the health unit: what is the way to cover the costs of these medical services ?
