ABSTRACT

The article analyzes the special right of inheritance of the surviving spouse on furniture and home appliances, as well as the special right of habitation, as provided by the former Civil Code and by the new Civil Code. The focus is on the innovations brought by the current Code and the analysis deals with the reasons lying at the basis of these modifications.
