Adoptive leave

Abstract

As of 12 August 2016, the persons who adopt a child will be able to benefit from an adoptive leave, a leave introduced, for the first time in our legislation, by Law no. 57/2016 amending and supplementing Law no. 273/2004 on the adoption procedure, as well as other legislative acts.

The adoptive leave is an advantage granted to the adoptive family, first in connection with the fact that it is given the chance to discover the person available for adoption, and then because it is entitled to cumulatively obtain both a stay, rest period, of up to one year, and also a pecuniary satisfaction.
