ABSTRACT

Territorial competence constitutes that form of competence through which criminal cases are distributed from a territorial point of view, between criminal judicial bodies of the same degree. The distribution of cases is done on a horizontal line.

Territorial competence is determined according to the place where the crime was committed, the legislator establishing a series of rules regarding crimes committed on the territory of Romania, respectively, regarding those committed outside the territory of the country.
