Standing in proceedings before the National Council for Combating Discrimination

Abstract

The National Council for Combating Discrimination is the state authority in the field of discrimination, autonomous, with legal personality, under parliamentary control and, at the same time, guarantor of the respect and application of the principle of non-discrimination, in accordance with the domestic legislation in force and the international documents to which Romania is party.

This authority is not part of the organisational system of the courts, which, according to the constitutional provisions mentioned are the High Court of Cassation and Justice, the courts of appeal, the tribunals and the courts of law.
