ABSTRACT

Characterised by the prevalence of legal regulation and the promotion of a balance between fostering innovation and respecting democratic values, the European Al governance model is legally based on two normative reference acts: Regulation (EU) 2024/1689of 13 June 2024 (Al Act) and the EC Framework Convention on Artificial Intelligence and Human Rights, Democracy and the Rule of Law (Vilnius, 5 September 2024), respectively, to which are added the related regulations and the relevant pre-existing law.
