The properties of the Catholic Church in the Code of Canon Law

Abstract

The Catholic Church regulates in the Code of Canon Law the manner of acquisition and administration of temporary (material) goods. Starting from this institution as the people of God traveling through time towards eternity and from the principle of the salvation of the souls of the faithful, we see the care of the Church so that its assets are managed carefully to fulfill its purposes: divine worship, care of the clergy, evangelization and help for the needy.
