Article 688 of the Law No 95/2006 regulates the prescription of liability for malpractice of the medical service provider and the author of this study analyzes it under three aspects: the duration of the prescription period, the moment when the extinctive prescription begins to run and the existence of a special situation of interruption of the prescription period.
