ABSTRACT

The middle path is neither the fastest nor the most well-trodden. In modern times, are highly sought after the shortcuts and the most efficient means of achieving results with minimal effort. These aspirations are present in a multitude of fields and are also common among those striving to master the art of oratory. However, between the stage of a novice and that of a master lies a period of accumulation and practice, which, despite some people’s dissatisfaction with the current connotation of the term, can be equated with mediocrity. For those who aspire to grow, it is an intermediate stage accepted and traversed with dignity. Yet, not few are those who remain stuck in this phase, without recognising its merits and without the desire to surpass their condition. The middle path is wide enough to encompass both categories and the following lines aim to highlight its benefits and restore its reputation.
